Ethanol stocks shrink in last boost to the summer driving season

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol stocks have shrunk to their lowest level since January at 22.549 million barrels thanks to a last boost to the summer driving season while production held steady at 1.07 million barrels per day. Exports slipped 52,000 bpd on the week prior to 121,000 bpd. Analysis from Iowa State University’s Center for Agricultural and Rural Development shows that solid demand continues to keep crushing margins in the positive territory for most ethanol plants.
