Kanadevia Inova acquires Wardley and Lower Drayton biogas plants in the UK

In the UK, Kanadevia Inova announced the successful acquisition of the Wardley Biogas and Lower Drayton biogas plants.

This strategic acquisition strengthens Kanadevia Inova’s position in the country’s anaerobic digestion (AD) and renewable energy sectors, enhancing its capability to deliver clean, locally produced biomethane to the national gas grid, the firm said.

It brings Kanadevia Inova’s biogas plant portfolio to 17 operating facilities.

Nick Ross, Kanadevia Inova Capital’s CEO, commented: “Building out Kanadevia Inova’s biogas capacities is central to our mission of working towards a future free of wasted waste. These new additions are part of our mandate to grow our portfolio and play a critical role in promoting sustainable agriculture and providing clean energy to thousands of homes and businesses throughout the country.”

Located in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, the Wardley Biogas plant specializes in the treatment of food waste.. The facility has the capacity to process 80,000 tons of food waste annually.

Meanwhile, the Lower Drayton Biogas plant, situated in Staffordshire, focuses on the anaerobic digestion of agricultural residues, including manure and crop waste.
