In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Environmental Information Administration data shows ethanol production continued to rise, though below production levels this time last year, to 1.091 million barrels per day. Crush margins are starting to ease, although producers expect demand to remain firm. Stocks also rose last week to 22.307 million barrels, up 88,000 higher over the week prior, but was still 256,000 lower than last year. Exports remain strong at 145,000 barrels per day, steady on last year and slightly lower than last week.
