Naturgy connects first biomethane plant in Navarra to its gas network

In Spain, Naturgy, through its distributor Nedgia, has connected to its gas network the first biomethane plant in the Foral Community of Navarre. The facility has been promoted by the company E-cogeneration Cabanillas and will produce up to 22 GWh of renewable gas from the treatment of livestock and agri-food waste. This is equivalent to the consumption of 4,000 households.

The project reinforces Naturgy’s role as a key player in the energy transition and the development of green gas in Spain. Nedgia Navarra, distributor of the group in this region, has carried out the technical connection from the point of delivery to the network, with a performance of about 25 meters.
