In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production slipped on the week to 1.081 million barrels per day, but it still remains slightly above last year’s production. With lower production, stocks also fell by 960,000 barrels to 23.756 million barrels. Ethanol exports remained at pace at 116,000 barrels per day, but they were down 38,000 from the week prior. The average Iowa ethanol plant is likely still in positive margin territory, according to analysis from Iowa State University’s Center for Agricultural and Rural Development.
