In the UAE, Zawya news agency reports Lootah Biofuels has launched sustainable aviation fuel supply from imported SAF, making it one of the few SAF suppliers in the region. The imports are meant to kick off supply while it develops its own standalone dedicated facility using used cooking oil and waste-derived fats as feedstock. Engineering and feasibility studies for the plant have already been completed. The company will showcase the fuel at the upcoming Dubai Airshow in November.
