SSA becomes first airport in Brazil to supply SAF for commercial operations

In the UK, Airport Industry News reported that Salvador Bahia Airport (SSA) has become the first airport in Brazil to supply SAF for commercial operations following the introduction of its regular use in November.

The use of SAF at SSA brings VINCI Airports’ total number of sites using the alternative fuel to more than 15.

From November onward, two daily flights departing from Salvador Bahia and operated by Gol and LATAM Airlines Brasil have been supplied with a SAF blend containing 10% pure SAF and 90% conventional jet fuel, currently the highest proportion applied in Brazilian aviation, according to the report.
